If you find yourself wandering the charming streets of Boston's North End, make sure to pause at Regina Pizzeria - an iconic establishment that has been delighting pizza lovers since 1926. Known as the oldest pizzeria in Boston, Regina's not only carries a rich history but also serves up some of the finest brick oven pizzas you’ll ever taste.

The restaurant's atmosphere is vibrant and bustling, a hallmark of its dedication to creating an authentic Italian pizzeria experience. As you step inside, the warm, inviting scent of freshly baked pizza fills the air, whetting your appetite and setting the stage for what’s to come.

At Regina Pizzeria, the menu is straightforward, emphasizing quality over quantity, which is evident in every bite of their creations. The star of the show is undoubtedly the Brick Oven Pizza. You can start your meal with the classic Margherita, which boasts a well-balanced blend of tomato sauce, fresh basil, mozzarella, and Pecorino Romano cheese—perfectly simple yet decadently delicious. If you’re in the mood for something with a kick, try the Italiano, topped with spicy pepperoni, artichoke hearts, and fresh mushrooms, all coming together in harmonious flavors.

For a unique touch, the Melanzane showcases homemade ricotta and marinara, mingled with eggplant and red onions for a rich and innovative experience. No order is complete without their beloved Pollo Regina, bursting with flavor from tomato sauce, ricotta, and Parmesan cheese—a dish that’s legendary in its own right. Whether you opt for a small pie for that perfect crispy slice or a larger one to share (or not!), you won’t be disappointed.

But don't just take our word for it; patrons can't help but rave about their experiences. Customer Matt Scarano proclaims it as "the BEST PIZZA IN AMERICA", noting the worth of the wait amid the inevitable line. Corbett Shope echoes this sentiment, claiming that the pizza is reminiscent of their recent travels to Italy, likening it to a genuine Italian experience. Tamas Bakos AC loved how quickly the pizzas were prepared, despite the crowd, and Thomas T relished the authentic Napoli-style crust of his cheese pizza as he soaked in the festive atmosphere during the St Anthony festival.

After a mouthwatering meal, perhaps grab a refreshing drink from their beverage selection, which includes Regina Orange Soda and San Pellegrino bottled water. With a small but thoughtfully curated drink menu, you’ll find something to quench your thirst as you savor every last bite of your pizza.

Should you find yourself in Boston, a visit to Regina Pizzeria isn’t just a meal; it’s a revelatory culinary experience that captures the essence of Italian pizza-making tradition. Don’t miss out on this culinary treasure; it promises to be a highlight of your Boston visit!

The original location is the BEST PIZZA IN AMERICA! I have had almost all the top rated pizza places all over the USA. Regina pizza in the north end of Boston is the legit king of the pizza world. Expect a line. Worth the wait. They only make pizza. Who wants a salad anyway? I order a small because it gives you the crispiest slices. Sausage, cherry peppers and anchovies this time. Ask for it crispy. Or skip the line and order it to go. Enjoy! Side note: this review only applies to the original location. It has a pizza oven dating back to the late 1800s. That’s part of the magic.

The good: best pizza we ever had. Daughter just returned from Italy and said this pizza was as good if not better than what she had over there from 2 different pizzerias. We had the Sausage Cacciatore and The Giambotta. The pizzas tasted like what you imagine a real pizza should taste like in your mind but for some reason other places never hit the mark. This pizza taste had everything to do with the pizza itself and not the atmosphere or anything extra. Cheese, toppings, crust, sauce, everything was like it should be in your mind for perfect pizza. The Bad: service was not friendly at all. From trying to check in, to ordering, you name it. Maybe a different waitress would be better, but even the kitchen guy that brought our pizzas out was just not friendly when asked a question. I guess maybe having the best pizza this side of Italy makes you snobby? We were even nice and friendly, kind of trying to maybe pick them up if they were having a bad day but nope, didn't work. Best comparison I could make is if the Soup Nazi owned a pizza joint. So go to eat the best pizza ever, don't expect them to be happy you're there though, and enjoy & savor the taste and then don't go back but find friendlier places that appreciate you giving them your money. Despite the great pizza taste, a lack of common courtesy and lack of appreciation for guests, we will not be coming back.

I traveled around the many times but I have had here the best pizza ever. The restaurant is in the North End of Boston in the Italian quarter. They offer wide variety of Italian food. The pizza was quickly made despite the place was packed. Rich with toppings, the right thickness and crunchy crust. The bigger size pizza is enough for 3 adults. Better to make a reservation however on Monday lunch time we were lucky to get in just with walking in. The price is right! I know it is common in US but this place would deserve real metal cutlery not plastic and real plate not paper.

Regina Pizzeria is a North End Boston classic in the heart of the Little Italy. We happen to be there during the St Anthony festival which was an extra bonus. We were the first in for the day as we arrived at 10:45 and it opens at 11:00. This pizza, a regular cheese pizza, is done as pizzas are made in Naples Italy. The crust was perfect, well done but not crispy as is the Roman pizza. It was the flavor of the sauce combined with the cheese that makes this pizza truly great. The cheese was of high quality as i did not feel bloated even after three slices. The large drink was more than i could finish. The menu had all types of pizzas: meat etc. the dining area had all kinds of memorabilia from all kinds of visitors over the years. I will be coming here again on my next trip to Boston

Extremely busy place. Went there on Monday afternoon and there was a line up outside. Got table fairy quick. I’m not a big fan of pizza but their pizzas are amazing. One of the best pizza I’ve ever had. Delicious. Fresh. Large portions.

Boston’s Legendary Pizza — Regina’s Lives Up to the Hype! As part of The Politically Incorrect North End Food Tour with Antony, we stopped at Regina Pizzeria, and it was one of the highlights of the day. Founded in 1926, Regina’s is Boston’s oldest pizzeria, still family-owned and still baking pies in its original brick ovens. That history alone is impressive, but the pizza speaks for itself. Antony surprised us with a few pepperoni pizzas, and from the first bite we knew why Regina’s has such a devoted following. The crust had that perfect balance — light and airy on the inside, crisp on the outside, with just enough chew. The sauce was tangy and flavorful, the cheese rich without being overwhelming, and the pepperoni had that classic spicy edge. It was the kind of pizza you dream about long after the last slice is gone. What made it even better was enjoying it in the North End while hearing Antony’s stories about the neighborhood’s history, mob legends, and family-run restaurants. Regina’s isn’t just pizza — it’s a piece of Boston’s culture, served one slice at a time. If you’re in Boston, Regina’s is a must-visit. Go hungry, because you’ll want more than one slice!

We were in the mood for some za and decided to make a pit stop at Regina's, unaware that it was somewhat renowned to the area. Very happy we did! From NJ/NY area so my pizza-bar is high⬆, but these pies are ECCELENTE. Atmosphere, service are meh but who cares pies come out at a decent speed-- we waited roughly 20 mins for our order with the indoor seating nearly full.

The best pizza in Boston - PERIOD. If you are hungry for great pizza, this is the place. A small pie is great for a couple, and you can add a single slice of pepperoni or cheese if you want more! Otherwise, get a large and plan on having some to cary home! Bathrooms are very small but clean and well provisioned. Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s a must if you want to eat the best. Eat in or take to a nearby park if the weather is nice.
